WANG GOES ALL SNEAKERISH

Alexander Wang's womenswear SS15 collection goes heavy on sneaker inspiration. Two weeks ago in NYFW, the designer presented his upcoming collection and took the sneaker culture to next level, featuring iconic sneakers as the literal inspiration for the clothing and accessories in the range. Yes, your eyes were not deceiving you if you caught on to the physical similarities between the collection's pieces and age-old icons such as Adidas Stan Smith, Air Jordan 3 Cement or the more recent Nike Flyknit Lunar 2.  There are elephant print shirts, Nike Air Woven high heels, and even some handbags that look like those old Air Jordan bags that used sneaker soles as their bottoms. I'm absolutely in love.
