MESSY+LOW

The holidays are over now but that low textured wintery beach hair is still on. Buns or ponies, got love messy and low thing.

Have a lovely week y'all!

RIRI X MAC VIVA GLAM 2.0

Call it a comeback, Rihanna and Mac Cosmetics are together again and it looks so good! Last week RiRi just revealed the campaign for her second collab with M.A.C ' Viva Glam via twitter. When MAC and Rihanna teamed up for Viva Glam the first time, it was all about the red. But round two has gone green and all slimey in the best way. MAC's Viva Glam Rihanna II line includes a frosted metallic mauve lipstick and lipgloss and naturally, every cent goes towards helping people living with (or affected by) HIV/AIDS. The new line is coming out 11 September in stores and online.

I'm back from an amazing week but the blog is still in a slow holidays mood.

Have a lovely week guys!

ROADTRIP ESSENTIALS

Summer holidays are here. Tomorrow I'm heading south on a roadtrip. Light pattern clothes, sunglasses. bikinis, flatforms and my latest purchase made of yellow cuteness, meaning the cool Instax mini 8 (I'll make a post about it, later on), are my essentials. On my holiday beauty bag are the bits I can't be without when I'm on the beach or by the pool, all very light weight, perfect for traveling.  Follow me on Instagram, I'm sure I'll be posting more often there.

Hopefully it'll help you pick off a few things from your packing list and if you are also going away, have a lovely time!

On the beauty bag
Avène Thermal Spring Water  |  Maybelline Baby Lips  |  Tangle Teezer Compact Styler Professional Detangling Brush  |  H&M Fruity Wet Wipes  |  Clarins Sunscreen Care Oil Spray for body and hair |  The Body Shop Shea Body Whip |  The Body Shop Strawberry Hand Cleanse Gel

FRINDGES

Lazy summer days are here plus the up coming fall, are the perfect excuses for a fringe bag. These are two options that I love, they are very similar in style but with very different price tags. The one to the left is from Mango and the right one from Gucci.

JULY BEAUTY FAVOURITES

July, where did you go? This month has flown by, so much so I only had time to discover a few new beauty loves.

Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs  |  Marc Jacobs added another Daisy to his chain. The launch was in July and it's hard to believe that the original Daisy scent was launched way back in 2007. After seven years, I'm still addicted to every single fragrance and the latest Daisy incarnation is no exception, showcasing a whole host of daisies festooning the top of the beautiful sky-blue bottle.

The Body Shop Mango Body Scrub  |  After finally finding a great exfoliating, The Body Shop Raspberry Body Scrub, I've found an even greater one from the same line. This fruit body scrub contains real mango seed oil, and every time I open the box, I'm swamped by this fresh and delicious scent. If the raspberry one had amazing results on my skin, this one is 200ml of pure heaven. I mean, it effectively exfoliates, leaving the skin soft and smooth like there's no need of using a moisturising lotion after it. I also noticed that this scrub stimulates the skin circulation. Is definitely this month fav purchase.

The Body Shop Shea Body Whip  |  Another Body Shop product, perfect for my up coming holidays. This body lotion is really light weighted and has a subtle nutty scent. It hydrates dry skin and leaves that soft and smooth feeling.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Matic -  Iridescent Turquoise  |  Remember last month purchase? I couldn't resist and this time I've brought home this eye shadow pencil in other shade, the Iridescent Turqoise. Perfect color for summer eyes.

Benefit They're real! Push-up Liner  |  It's been causing a stir in the beauty world and the expectations were massive when the product hit the shelves. So is the Benefit They're real Push-up Liner worth the hype and the price tag? Is definitely worth it. The first ever lash-hugging matte black gel liner in a pen won't smudge or dry out. The top of the pen has an AccuFlex rubber style applicator with a slanted edge. It’s an innovative design and there’s no doubt that it makes application easier, certainly in allowing precision and control. The closer the line, the bigger the eye! Remember, this is gel liner, not liquid. Gel liner tends to be drier than liquid, and a bit drier than a cream. If you’re a habitual cat-eye wearer, you’ll probably love this pen. If you’re a liquid-liner devotee, expect the texture to be drier than what you’re used to. Expect a learning curve.

Mavala White Nail Polish (49)  |   I use Mavala products for many years now and I absolutely love them. And I finally came across a white nail polish easy to apply.

FW14 CAMPAIGNS

Proenza Schouler Fall Winter 2014 ad campaign with model Julia Bergshoeff, lensed by David Sims. As always, the label does great things with perspective in their imagery. The poses, the hot, glary light covered in a pastel haze turn the images into this contemporary and colourful mood.
